Audience Takeaways:
Participants will gain understanding of Emotional Intelligence as a construct and its relationship to effective leadership. As consultants, we can apply the concepts not only to what we model and convey directly to our clients, but also to our own ability to build positive relationships with them.
Description:
Emotional Intelligence is a cluster of skills and capabilities that can be strengthened throughout one's life. That matters because there is a higher correlation between EQ and success in one's work and personal life than there is with IQ. I will break down the concept into learnable chunks, including some experiential exercises and plenty of story telling. We'll end with an open discussion of how participants might apply these skills and ideas to the work they do with clients.
