MINDFUL WORK & CONSCIOUS CAPITALISM -
THE FUTURE OF WORK

We are experiencing a paradigm shift in how we work.  Human beings are making purchase decisions and, increasingly, employment decisions aligned with their values.  In a recent study by Bates College and Gallup, 80% of college graduates are looking for purposeful work. Unemployment is at an all-time low, and human beings represent nearly 80% of a business’s capital today.

For these reasons it is time to help businesses understand the shifts they will need to make in articulating their purpose, investing in leadership development, and support of wellbeing to compete for the future.

Through my observations and stories from the intersection of mindfulness and conscious capitalism, the audience will come away with:

  • How Conscious Capitalism and stakeholder thinking offers a paradigm shift on how businesses can operate at record profits while doing good for all stakeholders, including humans
  • Why focusing on skill-building for managers of people is the most important engagement focus.
  • Why mindfulness practices and emotionally healthy cultures are the number one wellness investment.

About the Speaker

Elizabeth Ross Holmstrom, Founder of Mindful Employer, is working with employers large and small at the intersection of conscious capitalism, mindfulness, and human potential at work. She will share practical information and discuss ideas to help your business stay on pace with these trends.





Note: This meeting will take place at the Portland Country Club in Falmouth.


Members and Guests are welcome to stay after the presentation for networking and coffee.


The Facts...

 

The ACE regular meeting has networking, a buffet breakfast and a speaker. Guests are welcome. There is often an optional Roundtable after the main meeting.

Registrations (and registration cancellations) are required by February18th. If you want to be included on the registration list at the meeting then you need to register by the due date.

Members: the $22 fee only works if you pay in advance. At the door, it is $28.

Cancellations:

If you find you can't attend, please notify us by February 18th. After that date, we cannot refund or push forward.

Cancellation - the meeting will be cancelled if Portland Schools are cancelled.
