Consulting For Results: Model or Philosophy 

After some 45 plus years, working around the world, as an internal and external consultant, manager of consultants and founder of two consulting firms in the field of human and organizational flourishing, I have some questions I’d like to explore about consulting for results.

Using both mini-inputs, appreciative questions, we will engage each other in dialogue about the following:

• What do we mean by “results” and why should we care about them?
• Useful Models: What models/frameworks give life to how we think about results?
• What have we learned in our work over the years about this topic that we want to share with others?
• A Philosophy of Practice
• What are we taking away from this webinar and what questions continue to challenge and invigorate us?

Bernard J. Mohr is past Dean of Complex Systems Change at the Institute for Applied Behavioral Science and adjunct faculty in organizational innovation at Concordia University (Montreal). His 45-year career as a consulting social scientist, specializing in health care, education and research organizations, has taken him across North America, Central America, the Caribbean, Western Europe and the Middle East. Co-creating work systems where both the members, clients and patients flourish continues to be the focus of his research and practice.

His most recent books are Appreciative Inquiry: Change at The Speed of Imagination (2011) and Co-Creating Humane and Innovative Organizations: Evolutions in the Practice of Socio-Technical System Design.(2016). Designing Integrated Care Ecosystems: A SocioTechnical System Perspective will be published by Palgrave MacMillan summer of 2019.

The webinar will be interactive and include breakout room sessions. The recording follows the host, Bernard, as he presents and visits the breakout rooms. The recording will be provided to registrants.
