Men & Women at Work: A Dialogue about what matters to us

This program is an invitation to bring the national and local conversation to our organization, our colleagues, and our work.   We’ll provide a framework and forum to talk about our experiences, generate shared meaning, and begin to explore a path forward. This is an open program and we invite members and nonmembers to join the dialogue.

Objectives:

  • Talk about our experiences with relationships between men and women at work and the impact on us.
  • Explore a framework for understanding what’s going on at the individual, group and system level.
  • Generate a shared sense of what great relationships between men and women at work look like and the organizational conditions that support that.
  • Share examples of how we have created healthy cross gender relationships in our own corners of the world.

Facilitator:

Susan M. Gallant, Ed.D., PCC, is a consultant, coach, diversity practitioner, facilitator/trainer and author. She synthesizes and integrates a range of theories, models, techniques, and tools from a variety of disciplines; then creatively and pragmatically employs what is most likely to be useful. She has partnered with clients and colleagues at all levels of the system and across diverse sectors; ranging from large for-profit multinational corporations to owners of small businesses; as well as government, health care and not-for-profit. Susan has coached, consulted, or trained internationally, with in-country experiences in Austria, Canada, Ethiopia, Kenya, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mexico, Trinidad, US Virgin Islands, and across the United States; and virtual experiences in South America, Europe and the Middle East, and Asia Pacific (primarily China.) Susan is adjunct faculty at Fielding Graduate University and University of the Virgin Islands. The focus is leadership studies, with an emphasis on organization development and diversity.

We will be running an extended program this month so there will be no Roundtable. The meeting will go until 10:30. We ask that all participants make a commitment to attend the full session.  Thank you.
