ROAD TRIP!
From P3s to Tempus Jets: From Captains to CEOs
The story of the remarkable success of Naval Air Station Brunswick to Brunswick Landing Center for Innovation!
As consultants and related professional service providers, we are always looking for key nexus points of opportunity. There is such a rich environment in our own backyard - Brunswick Landing. Formally Naval Air Station Brunswick, there are now more than 40 actively operating and growing businesses at Brunswick Landing along with four colleges and universities, the Energy Center and the newly opened TechPlace, a state of the art manufacturing incubator and point of influence for like activities across our State. There are the likes of world class Mölnlycke Health Care, SaviLinx and world famous Frosty’s Donuts…. AND, they are looking for resources such as ACE and our members!
In a very special program, on Friday, May 15th, ACE will be hosted by the Mid-Coast Regional Redevelopment Authority and Brunswick Landing at TechPlace (directions below and attached).
Steve Levesque, MRRA’s Executive Director and Kristine Schumann, MRRA’s Business Development Coordinator and TechPlace Administrator will provide us with a ground level “tour” of all that is Brunswick Landing. They will give us their hands-on insights into what has made the turnaround of this military base so successful in such a short period of time even through the challenges of the recession.
Importantly, they will tell us a little about the many businesses on the Campus, what the future may bring and their efforts to develop a high quality list of top-notch resources including consultants, that can be provided as part of the benefits to TechPlace and other companies associated with the Brunswick landing campus and beyond. Stev and Kristine will include plenty of time for Q & A AND tours of TechPlace will be available!
Food
Not to worry, we have this covered too! Truly anchoring the Campus, is one of Brunswick’s favorite culinary establishments - Wild Oats Bakery! We have arranged with Wild Oats for a really, really special breakfast selection from their famous, freshly baked coffee cake and pastry goods, to fresh fruit salad, and… wait for it…. Egg, Cheese and Bacon Breakfast Biscuits! (Yes, we remembered the bacon!). Excellent Maine roasted coffee too.

Roundtable
Why is Conflict So Hard?
Navigating conflict can be quite a challenge. From squabbles between spouses to riots in the streets, we know the potentially devastating effects of mismanaged conflict. In this Round Table, we will look at what each of us bring to the table in terms of conflict and how to meet the needs of ourselves and others when in conflict. Participants should leave with a better understanding of what they and others contribute to conflict and helpful hints as to how to navigate conflict successfully.
Facilitator: Meredith Richardson, Esq., CPC, principal at Meredith Mediates
